This game is deep, entertaining, and beautiful. It also ran flawlessly with nary a glitch or crash from start to finish. If you are wondering if you should buy it... You should... worth every penny.

Best game on any system of 2014, so when you can get it on your iPhone its a no brainer. Played it on PC, getting back into it on iOS trying new strategies.
Took me a while maybe because Im not use to this type of game. Also I wish the tutorial was better I had a hard time getting use to the different options in combat but I persevered and am quite happy. And btw I played bio-shock and loved that game.id say this game is a very good game Id recommend it which for me is saying a lot Ty for a good gaming experience
Short description: A bit of X-COM & choose your own adventure. A Mix of RPG and adventure, its really engrossing. I love the music, the setting, dialogue and personalities. I also love that decisions matter. Do something stupid and someone dies, permanently. Something else stupid and everyones morale drops. And the fact you cant save before every dialog really allows you to just try your best as in "what would I really do in this situation" Also runs flawlessly on my iPad 4, iOS 8.x
This is on of the 10 best game ever (my opinion) but it always crash at the bridge combat. Also, the loading time between each stage last forever, even between two part of camp options. Update it quickly!
Overall a great game, but the story ends abruptly. Leaving you with an empty feeling. So many unanswered questions. What is the darkness? What is the serpent? The story takes you to many places and mentions others that you never get to see. The game in my opinion is not worth 10$ simply because it is unfinished. Not a proper ending leaves you with more questions than answers.
Really fun game that does not have the typical iOS bull. There is one big issue though... Load times. It can take up to 5 mins to load a battle. Even something as simple as checking your party status at camp can take several mins to load the status screen. This kills immersion and several times Ive simply put the game away and did something. They definitely need to improve the load times.
The game takes away much needed xp by having chars in which you invested leave, then after 5 hours of play, if not more, throws a challenge that you cant beat without those Xp. Easy mode or not. Ill never pass Bellower. So I leave the saga frustrated.
This is a great game, crowding out the others on my iPad. I havent had any trouble running it (iPad Air). Strengths: multiple levels of strategy, both story choices and combat. Choices do matter. Excellent sound track. Hours of value. No freemium spam. No Internet connection needed to play. Characters have many different skills and you need to choose which one to promote (not able to do everything). You actually start caring for the characters. Weaknesses: really need a better tutorial. I stayed with it as I saw the promise. Too many choices for a noob. I find some of the caravan travelling sequences to be long, but that also gives you time to reflect, which is important. Im near the end, but not done, so well see if it is a satisfying end. Excellent choice if you like this type of game.
Exceeded all my expectations. Breathtaking art, novel characters, nuanced tactical gameplay, and a deeply immersive setting and story. Had no issue with loading times or crashing.
Intriguing game systems, compelling story, some interesting genre crossover, great atmosphere - this game has a lot of elements that could make a classic... ...however, poor production values hold it back. I am playing on an ipad 2 and the game regularly drops into single digit framerates, which is completely unnacceptable for a turn-based game with 2d graphics. The load times are also atrociously long which makes things worse and those two problems combined can really make the game a slog to play. Really unfortunate, because the ideas behind the game are great, they are just so poorly executed. Hopefully this gets fixed in a patch.
Great graphics, narrative, and interesting gameplay. The touch controls could use some work as it is easy to press the wrong button with no recourse. Some crashing issues where screen becomes unresponsive but otherwise a solid and very interesting and enjoyable title.
A beautifully realized, engrossing storybook adventure/tactical RPG. Unfortunately like most of the AAA experiences on mobile, the sticker shock may kill its sales performance and discourage yet another top-notch indie dev. This is the kind of unique, quality game the App Store needs more of to keep it from drowning in the sea of freemium garbage!
Wow, this game is PERFECT!!!
Beautiful soundtrack, great art. Combat is similar to Heros of might and magic. Story is unique and engrossing. A must buy for fans of the genre.
This is hands down the best iPad game I played during 2014.
Progress is deliberate, paced to keep challenges tangible, with random events that have serious benefits and repercussions felt all the way to the end. Rewards re-plays at harder levels. Wish there was a free (non-story) play through option, but it’s not that kind of game is it? Originally completed the game on Easy in the Mac version, then migrated over to iOS for a Normal play through. The experience was seamless in both, though I actually preferred the touch commands in iOS. This game is a must buy AAA title IMO.
Cant wait till 2 and 3 come out! Im a sucker for these types of games and the realized world is pretty amazing. The tactical part is a little dull but all the different characters and skill sets do create for some depth. If you liked King of Dragon Pass (and hence lots of reading) you should give this a try!
Load times are brutal on ipad 2
Only downside is the slightly painful loading times, just relax and enjoy the pacing. Im off to buy Austin Wintorys soundtrack on bandcamp...
